First Assistant Greenkeeper
Silkstone Golf Club
About us…
Silkstone Golf Club has a rich heritage dating back to 1893 when golf first arrived in Barnsley. Originally located at Dayhouse Farm, the club moved to Silkstone in 1905 to meet growing member needs. Designed by H. Fulford of Moortown Golf Club, the course was developed for its stunning countryside setting and convenient proximity to the Dodworth Railway Station. Over the decades, the club has evolved through world events and significant development, including a major expansion in 2008. Today, it features a challenging and beautifully maintained 18-hole course, extensive practice facilities, and a warm, inclusive community of members.
