The drive must carry the valley to afford a sight of the green, whilst at the same time staying short of the cross bunkers. The aggressively-minded may try to get past these and on to the front edge of the green, but anything turning left will be swept away down the bank leaving an awkward recovery. Another birdie chance for those who can come up with the right strategy.
